How do I teach my 18mo to stop throwing food on the ground. We have a dog that she tries to feed, but she also throws food that later wants to eat. She’s SO picky and will also throw food she doesn’t want to eat even though we give her a cup to put food she doesn’t want into. How do I get her to leave her food on her tray, plate, or on her cup?!
When my sweet little baby kept doing that I came up with an idea! Try slowly giving her food. Like eat food and show her how yummy it is. Say, "MMMMM YUMMY" and she'll want some. Or get a barrier for the highchair. They sell on the Zon A.K.A. Amazon.
I love this passage! My kid always would fart, burp, or even POOP their pants at the dinner table. We tried hitting her with the belt to make it work but then she wouldn't eat so we'd shove food into her mouth!
I teach my children to eat properly starting at 2, it may sound strict, but it's the only way they learn. I started by strapping them down to the chair with proper posture and straight arms and legs, they are not allowed to swing their legs while at the dinner table, it is disrespectful to their great grandfather that died 90 years ago because his sister was swinging her legs and hit his leg while he was walking past, causing his brittle bones to crack, he fell and hit his head against the table and died just 5 minutes later, the sister has been shunned from the family and died 70 years ago. Back on track, we force feed our children until they signal they no longer want to eat, we then teach them how to clean themselves off and we send them to their room, they all walk on their own.
I do not want tips or opinions, I was simply sharing my own ways.
