This is fascinating. I have the privilege of spending a lot of time with our granddaughter and I’m always looking for ways to do better with her than I did with her mom and uncle.
I so appreciate the mention of supporting neurodivergent children with this approach. With appropriate scaffolding, they can absolutely crush it. And having voice and choice in how they do so is such a big part of keeping them motivated (as it is for everyone), which then supports the executive functioning piece. Win win win!
