Greetings, all! Today, I am here for your Valentine’s Day rants and reports. Maybe you need to let off steam because your partner didn’t do a damn thing. Maybe your kid had a 2-hour-long overstimulation meltdown yesterday upon returning home from school. Maybe you never want to see red construction paper for the rest of your life. Maybe you had a blissful day and you are eager to share your story.

Whatever it is, I am here for it! My 9-year-old walked in from school yesterday and immediately squealed, “I HAVE EATEN SO MANY CHEESE BALLS!!!!!!!” so it seems she had a good day, at least — although later, she lamented that all of her friends were having special Valentine’s dinners, yet we weren’t. (I made baked rigatoni, which is red! Apparently that did not suffice.) Given all her emotions and angst leading up to the day, I’m pretty glad it’s behind us. That said, my husband gave me some beautiful lilies, which are brightening my kitchen and smell amazing.
