It’s been a bit of a stressful week over here with jet lag + the start of school + the unfortunate discovery that we need to replace our roof, among other things. So for today’s thread, let’s have some fun.
What hilarious, adorable, or ingenious mistakes have your kids made with language or pronunciation?
I recently re-discovered a collection of videos from when my daughter was two in which I coaxed her to say “chicken nunnet” over and over again because it gave me so much joy. Here’s one, you’re welcome:
A good friend of mine recently shared that her kids refer to “hand sanitizer” as “hanitizer,” which is nothing short of brilliant. I also think “watermelon” is better as “waterlemon” and that it should be 100% culturally acceptable to refer to washing machines as “washamines.”
