Weekly thread: What do you watch for fun?

For me, nothing beats UK comedy.

Greetings everyone! Today I want to hear about the TV shows or movies you watch for fun. By which I mean, shows or movies that aren’t super serious or scary (though I love those kinds too !) but, rather, are uplifting or funny.

My current comedy obsession is an English game show called Taskmaster, which my husband and I watch via YouTube. In it, comedians have to compete against each other to do various silly tasks. I don’t usually care for game shows, but this one is charming and brilliant. (My one quip is that there aren’t enough women contestants on the show, but the demographics do improve in later seasons.)

The other show I love is Derry Girls, a comedy on Netflix set in Northern Ireland that follows a group of teen girls growing up in the 1990s. I will warn you: You might need to watch with subtitles. But it’s hilarious and the 90s soundtrack can’t be beat.
