The past year has been the craziest, most tumultuous year of my life. In the midst of a major (and perhaps ill-advised?) home renovation, I signed a contract to report and write a second book in just eight months, and then, just as I was delving into all that, my marriage imploded.
Then, Trump was re-elected. There have been family health issues, too, including my getting Covid twice, most recently this past week. (Just tested negative last night, which is a miracle because I am flying to Texas today. Paxlovid is a wonder drug!!)
Sometimes I think back and wonder how I got through all the chaos. I’m usually like, “I don’t really know.” But actually, I think I do know. When I reflect, I recognize exactly what has gotten me through this year, and I thought I’d share my eight biggest lifelines with you today. Because I know …. This is a tough time for many of us. And also, it’s nearly Mother’s Day, and we deserve to share with each other the things that keep us going and make us smile.
Speaking of Mother’s Day, I’m running a 25% off sale from today through Mother’s Day (May 11)! If you’ve been on the fence, this would be a wonderful time to jump on over. The discount applies to gift subscriptions, too. This newsletter would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift.
